The sculpture illustrates how, according to Biblical stories from Genesis chapter 11, man wanted the same power as God and there was a group of people who began to build a high tower in Babylon.
They had a dream of reaching heaven and being as powerful as God, but God saw what they were doing and stopped them by giving everyone their own language so that they could no longer understand each other.
The people were divided and could no longer cooperate in building the tower.
The tower was never finished, but it became known as the Tower of Babel.
The Tower of Babel symbolizes unity and community, but also the division that results from God's intervention.
People were reminded that they had to accept their limitations and respect God's power.
Today, the Tower of Babel is still a well-known symbol in many cultures and religions.
It reminds us that we must be humble before God and accept that we cannot reach heaven on our own.

The sculpture is dark patinated with green and highly polished details and is mounted on a dark and green patinated, rectangular, bronze base. 
The sculpture is mounted with 70-90 bronze people, who have different purposes and roles.
