The Sun Chariot is a replica of a grave find.
The sculpture here is made of pure bronze, green patinated and the sun disk has 23.75 carat gold leaf applied.
The artist, Stiig Kalsing is behind this interpretation and replication of the original Sun Chariot, which can be experienced at the National Museum of Denmark.
This edition is very special and only 399 pieces will be made worldwide, and there are therefore a limited number of this beautiful and unique edition of the Sun Chariot.
The sculpture here is handmade, cast in Denmark and processed in our own workshop in Middelfart.
It is stamped with the artist's name and X/399 as well as Denmark.
The Sun Chariot is available as standard, mounted on a black, varnished, rectangular wooden plate.
The glass display and white, high, varnished podium can be purchased separately.

The original Sun Chariot was found in Trundholm Mose in 1902 and dates from the Bronze Age, around 1400 BC.
The Sun Chariot tells the story of Bronze Age religion and what people believed in during the Bronze Age more than 3,000 years ago.
It was believed that a divine horse pulled the sun across the sky during the day and helped the sun through the darkness of the underworld at night.
The Sun Chariot was used in Bronze Age rituals in such a way that Bronze Age priests could show the movement of the sun across the sky by driving the Sun Chariot forward.
The Sun Disc is decorated with spirals and tells us that the Sun Chariot is of Nordic origin and the spiral is a symbol of the sun's journey up and down.
