The sculpture illustrates how the world could have been, beautiful and in balance with nature, if Adam and Eve had not been thrown out of the Garden of Eden, and how the world instead became dark and corrupt, with crucifixions, nature disasters and overpopulation.
Stiig has been ahead of his time and almost with a futuristic vision, when he had illustrated New York's twin towers (Twin Tower) burning on the sculpture, and since the sculpture was made 2 years before the fateful event of 9/11.
