The sculpture is made as a replica of the Venus of Willendorf, also known as the Woman of Willendorf, which is originally an 11.1 cm high statuette of a woman, cut from an oolitic lime stone and covered with red ocher approx. DKK 28,000 – DKK 25,000
It was discovered in 1908 at a Palaeolithic settlement near Willendorf in Austria by archaeologist Josef Szombathy.
Stiig Kalsing is the man behind this sculpture in bronze, which is available in burnished and green patinated, both with beautiful, polished details and which has been mounted on a burnished bronze base. The sculpture can also be bought without a bronze foot, so it lies down.
