The male penguin w/ egg is made of solid bronze.

The male penguin takes care of the egg after the female penguin has laid the egg.
For almost two months he is alone in the task, 24 hours a day the male incubates together with thousands of other incubating male penguins.
The male keeps the egg warm directly on the ice under a thick fold of skin at temperatures down to minus 60 degrees.
In particularly severe cold and wind, the male penguins stand close together and take turns shielding each other.
When the egg is hatched, Penguin returns the female home.

The sculpture is handmade and produced in Denmark. It is stamped with the artist's name and Denmark.
