Stiig Colling Kalsing was born in 1945 in Copenhagen and has been modeling since he was a child. He is trained as a steel engraver and has attended the School of Crafts (Kunsthåndværkerskolen).
Stiig Kalsing has completed a large number of orders, ranging from portrait modeling to the design of company logos and signage in all variations. In the 1980s, Stiig started making his own works and has since created a very wide selection of bronze sculptures. His style is lightly experimental, with a focus primarily on the human body. Nonfigurative, stylish or rustic figures can also be found among his work, which revolve around the symbols of life. In his more experimental bronze sculptures, he shows great mastery of the material's possibilities.
Stiig Kalsing is represented by several galleries at home and abroad. He participates in many art fairs and exhibits in art associations. His sculptures have been used several times for award ceremonies.
It is Stiig Kalsing who, with his many years of experience, takes care of special orders, the conversations about them and the execution of models and sketches.
