Mian Kalsing was born in 1980 in Copenhagen DK.
Even at a very young age, Mian modeled small animals and people out of modeling wax.
She greatly appreciated the creative subjects at school and took every opportunity to use her creativity in classes whenever possible.
Mian is the daughter of Stiig Kalsing, and she has been employed in her father's company, Nordisk Metalkunst, since she was 12 years.
Although she is a trained dental clinic assistant, Mian has had a taste of different professions before.
She chose to settle down with her family in a former farmhouse in Middelfart on Fyn in Denmark, where both she and her husband, Lau Asmussen, and her father, Stiig Kalsing, work together in Nordisk Metalkunst's gallery and bronze workshop.
Over the years, more and more bronze sculptures have been added and several of Mian's sculptures can be experienced in the gallery on the small farm and are also represented in other galleries around Denmark.
